The couch is attractive, seats 3 easily, and is comfortable to sit on. The back cushions are attached so you only have to remove 3 cushions to pull out the sleeper. The mattress is fine, but doesn't dampen the horizontal structural bars. We tried adding blankets and sleeping bags to make our guest comfortable, but it took putting triple-thick cardboard on top of the springs, then all the padding and mattress, to make it comfortable. This seems to be typical of all sleeper sofas, not just this one.
